Career 50Plus programme

We recognize the issue of youth-centric culture, unequal treatment, and the misperception of individuals aged 45+ on a job market, who often face age-based discrimination.

ABOUT

We created the Career 50Plus program, as we want to break the stereotypes that limit mature people from making the most of their knowledge and experience. Our goal is to change these negative trends by promoting equality, leveraging the expertise of older (mature) employees and promoting multigenerational initiatives and projects.

Within the Career 50 Plus program, we work closely with many experienced professionals to translate experience into decision-oriented language, clearly defined competencies, and measurable market value.

Career 50 Plus is a program and a nationwide initiative addressing key challenges of the modern labor market, including demographic shifts, workforce shortages, and the underutilized potential of experienced employees. The program was designed to support the activation of individuals aged 45+, as well as to assist employers in building inclusive work environments and addressing the growing skills gap within organizations. It is a social and professional development program with a strong regional focus, recognizing that each region differs in terms of cultural context and local labor market challenges. We acknowledge and value this diversity.

The program responds to real labor market needs, including:

The Career 50 Plus Support Group for individuals aged 45+ (online)

is a nationwide, recurring development and support program designed for people over the age of 45 who have experienced job loss, are undergoing a career transition, or are considering reskilling and re-entering the labor market. The initiative addresses the real challenges this group is facing, including reduced self-confidence, financial uncertainty, difficulties adapting to a rapidly changing labor market, and the lack of a safe space for open dialogue and the exchange of experiences.
The support group integrates elements of personal development, career guidance, and peer-to-peer support among participants.

The Career 50 Plus Hotline for individuals aged 45+

is a nationwide online initiative aimed at providing individualized support to people over the age of 45 who are facing challenging career situations – following job loss, during long-term unemployment, or while considering reskilling and a change in career path. Upon registration, participants receive one-on-one contact with a specialist who helps assess their current situation, identify potential development pathways, and plan next career steps. Depending on individual needs, participants may be referred to relevant support programs, training opportunities, career advisors, mentors, or partner institutions.
